ZUK Z1 phablet was announced in China last week. It is the first device by the Lenovo-backed startup. That device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with ZUI on top of it. However, the company has partnered with Cyanogen Inc and hence the international variant of Z1 will run on Cyanogen OS 12.1. Lets have a recap of the specifications.

The launch event of the international variant of ZUK Z1 is scheduled for August 21 in Shenzhen. According to the company, Vikram Natarajan, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships and Distribution for Cyanogen will attend the conference to further strengthen the cooperation between the two entities.
The device has been priced at CNY 1799 (US $285 / INR Rs 18,300 approximately) in China. We are looking forward to the price of the International variant. However, the biggest question is “Will ZUK pull off a OnePlus by partnering with Cyanogen Inc?” It will be answered over time.
