ZTE Nubia Z9 likely to become first smartphone with 8GB RAM

ZTE is coming out with a smartphone which will rock a whopping 8GB RAM under the hood. Yes, the ZTE Nubia Z9 has received TENAA certification, which has revealed some specifications of the upcoming flagship.


ZTE Nubia Z9 Specifications

The ZTE Nubia Z9 will feature a 5.15-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display which will be powered with a 3.5 GHz octa-core processor. It will come with a whopping 8GB of RAM which, if true, will also make it the first smartphone to so. The device will certainly run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

On the camera department, the ZTE Nubia Z9 will come with a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 8 megapixel front-facing camera. It is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 180 grams and will also support Dual SIM with dual standby mode.


The internal model no of the phone is NX508J which will support GSM, CDMA, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, LTE FDD, WCDMA bands. It will have a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood. There is no information on the internal storage as well as external expansion slot. The company is expected to announce the first smartphone with 8GB RAM – the Nubia Z9 on May 6 which is rumoured to be priced around US $484.

ZTE announced Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini recently.
