ZTE Nubia Z9 has been announced in China. It is the latest flagship which was supposed to become ‘the first smartphone in the world with 8GB RAM‘ but that did not happen. Lets check out the specifications.
ZTE Nubia Z9 Specifications
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Max features a 5.2-inch HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D CGS display with bezel-less design, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (A57 – 4×2 GHz + A53 – 4×1.5 GHz) processor with 600 MHz Adreno 430 GPU. It has 3/4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and comes with 32/64 GB of internal memory. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Nubia UI 3.0 on top of it. The 4GB RAM variant comes with Tio (Three in one) fingerprint recognition technology which is present in the power and volume keys. They help unlock the smartphone with a simple touch.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 is equipped with a 16 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX234 Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 6P lens. On the front, a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX179 Exmor BSI sensor and 80-degree wide viewing lens for selfies and video calling. It is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 192 grams.
On the connectivity front, the ZTE Nubia Z9 has 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1, MHL 3.0, USB OTG and GPS. It has a 2,900 mAh battery under the hood. It supports dual Nano SIM.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Classic Edition which comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage has been priced at CNY 3,499 (US $564 / INR Rs 35,850 approximately), Elite Edition with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM costs CNY 3,999 (US $645 / INR Rs 40,950 approximately). The top Edition comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with the fingerprint sensor will set you back by CNY 4,499 (US $725 / INR Rs 46,100 approximately). The flagship device will be available in China from May 21 and registrations start today. However, there is no information on global roll out yet.
