ZTE launches nubia Z11 miniS with Snapdragon 625 SoC, 23MP camera

ZTE’s sub-brand nubia has launched the nubia Z11 miniS in China today. It is the latest smartphone in the Z11 series and also a successor to the nubia Z11 mini. The company had launched the nubia Z11 flagship smartphone globally at the IFA 2016 in Berlin. Lets go through its specifications, features and pricing below.

The ZTE nubia Z11 miniS features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved display. that has 450 nits of brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 85% NTSC color gamut and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 64-bit processor along with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes with 64 / 128 GB of internal memory (eMMC 5.1), which can be further expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with nubia UI 4.0 on top of it.

The nubia Z11 miniS is equipped with a 23 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX318 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and 6P lens. On the front, there is a 13 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, Sony IMX258 sensor 80-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD), where the second SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It has aircraft-grade aluminium unibody design that is 7.6 mm thick and weighs 158 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back, that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds and has NeoSafe 2.0 feature to make secure NFC-based instalments.

On the connectivity front, the nubia Z11 miniS has 4G with VoLTE support, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GLONASS and USB Type-C port. It packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood that supports NeoPower 2.0 fast charging technology.

The ZTE nubia Z11 miniS is available in Silver, Gold and Gold with Black color variants. It has been priced at CNY 1499 (US $223 / INR Rs 14,866 approximately) for the 64GB variant and the 128GB model costs CNY 1899 (US $282 / INR Rs 18,829 approximately). It can now be ordered in China and will go on sale starting from October 25, 2016.
