ZTE Blade A1 smartphone with fingerprint sensor launched in China for CNY 599

ZTE Blade A1 has been launched in China. It is the latest budget smartphone from the company that also comes with a fingerprint sensor. It even becomes with most affordable smartphone with a fingerprint sensor dethroning the UMI Fair launched in September. Lets take a look at its specifications now.


ZTE Blade A1 Specifications

The ZTE Blade A1 features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display that is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The Blade A1 is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 137 grams. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM (nano) support where the second SIM slot also works as a microSD card slot. It has a fingerprint sensor that unlocks the phone in just 0.3 seconds.

On the connectivity front, the Blade A1 has 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 2,800 mAh battery under the hood.

The ZTE Blade A1 is available in White color only and has been priced at CNY 599 (US $94 / INR Rs 6,235 approximately). It can now be ordered via and will officially go on sale in China from December 11. There is no announcement on the global launch of the handset yet.
