ZTE Axon mini has been officially launched in China. The smartphone was announced back in July when the company launched the Axon Lux and Axon devices. Lets take a look at the specifications of the ZTE Axon mini that comes with a pressure-sensitive touch screen.

The ZTE Axon mini features a 5.2-inch HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED 2.5D curved display that comes with pressure sensitive touch. It is powered by a octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with MiFavour 3.2 on top of it.
The Axon mini is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF. On the front, a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It is able to record 1080P videos. It is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 140 grams. It supports Dual SIM and has a Hi-Fi Audio Chipset called AKM 4961.
On the connectivity front, the Axon mini has 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS. The smartphone has a 2,800 mAh battery under the hood. It has a fingerprint scanner on the back. It also has Eyeprint ID, a password-free eye-based biometric unlocking solution from EyeVerify. This works by imaging unique vein patterns in the human eye by using the front-facing camera.
The ZTE Axon mini is available in Ion Gold, Rose Gold and Chromium Silver colour variants and has been priced at CNY 2,699 (US $425 / INR Rs 27,587 approximately) for the Premium Edition with pressure sensitive touch. The standard variant is priced at CNY 2,299 (US $362 / INR Rs 23,498 approximately) for the Ion Gold and Chromium Silver colors and CNY 2,399 (US $378 / INR Rs 24,517 approximately) for the Rose Gold model.
