ZTE Axon Elite has been officially announced at IFA 2015 for the global markets. It is the same device that was earlier announced in China. Lets have a look at the specifications.

The ZTE Axon Elite features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) TFT LCD 2.5D curved display which is protected by Corning Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (4×1.5 GHz ARM A53 + 4×2.0 GHz ARM A57) processor along with Adreno 430 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS with MiFavour 3.2 on top of it.
The Axon Elite is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, 2 megapixel secondary camera for DOP. It can shoot 4K videos. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It is able to record 1080P videos. It is 9.3 mm thick and weighs 170 grams. It supports Dual SIM (nano) with Dual standby mode and has a Hi-Fi Audio Chipset called AKM 4961. It has a fingerprint scanner on the back along with a faux leather finish. It also has Eyeprint ID, a password-free eye-based biometric unlocking solution from EyeVerify. This works by imaging unique vein patterns in the human eye by using the front-facing camera.
On the connectivity front, the Axon Elite has 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS. It has a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging. It gives power for a 2 hour-long call with 5 minutes of charging.
The ZTE Axon Elite is available in Ion Gold colour and has been priced at US $469.99, €419.99 or £299.99 depending on various markets. It will go on sale via eBay in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and UK on September 24. It will also go on sale on the open offline market in Germany for the first time starting around the end of September in partnership with MediaMarkt, and will later continue to roll out in countries including Spain, Turkey, France, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Philippines and Russia.
