ZTE Axon 7, the latest high-end phablet in the ‘Axon’ series has been officially launched in China. Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of this hardware beast.
ZTE Axon 7 Specifications
The ZTE Axon 7 features a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass, which has a pixel density of 538 PPI and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4 / 6 GB of RAM and comes with 64 / 128 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with MiFavour UI 4.0 on top of it.
The Axon 7 is equipped with a 20 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It also records 4K videos. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. The phablet supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD), where the second SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 185 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back and has dual stereo speakers and two dedicated audio chips AK4961 and AK4490 from AKM. It also has Dolby Atmos surround sound for an enhanced audio experience.
On the connectivity front, the Axon 7 has 4G LTE (Cat 6), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.2 with A2DP, GPS, NFC and reversible USB Type-C port. It packs in a 3,250 mAh battery under the hood that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, promises to charge 0-50% in 30 minutes and 0-100% in 100 minutes.
The ZTE Axon 7 is available in Quartz Gray and Ion Gold color variants. It has been priced at CNY 2899 (US $442 / INR Rs 29,598 approximately) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant whereas the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM model is priced at CNY 4099 (US $625 / INR Rs 41,841 approximately) in China. It can be ordered via Jd.com starting today and will go on sale from June 2, 2016.
