ZTE Axon 7 with QHD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC now rolling out in Europe

ZTE Axon 7, the latest flagship smartphone from ZTE now starts rolling out in Europe. It was announced in China last month. Today, the company has started taking pre-orders for the device in several European countries, that includes France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. However, only the 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM model has launched in Europe, whereas China got a 4GB RAM with 128GB ROM variant and a 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM model along with Force touch display.

ZTE Axon 7 Specifications

The ZTE Axon 7 features a 5.5-inch HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass, which has a pixel density of 538 PPI and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 b4-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with MiFavour UI 4.0 on top of it.

The Axon 7 is equipped with a 20 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It also records 4K videos. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. The phablet supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD), where the second SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 185 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back and has dual stereo speakers and two dedicated audio chips AK4961 and AK4490 from AKM. It also has Dolby Atmos surround sound for an enhanced audio experience.

On the connectivity front, the Axon 7 has 4G LTE (Cat 6), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.2 with A2DP, GPS, NFC and reversible USB Type-C port. It packs in a 3,250 mAh battery under the hood that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, promises to charge 0-50% in 30 minutes and 0-100% in 100 minutes.

The ZTE Axon 7 is available in Ion Gold color and has been priced at €449.99 (US $500 / Rs. 33,705 approximately) in Europe and £359 (US$ 485 / Rs. 32,697 approximately) in UK. It can now be pre-ordered via Amazon and will start shipping from late July.
