ZTE Axon 7 mini with Snapdragon 617 SoC, fingerprint sensor goes official

ZTE Axon 7 mini, a smaller variant of the Axon 7 has been announced at the IFA 2016 in Berlin. Lets check out the specifications, pricing and features of the smartphone below.

The ZTE Axon 7 mini features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with MiFavour UI 4.0 on top of it.

The Axon 7 mini is equipped with a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 88-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD), where the second SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It has a unibody metal design that is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 153 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back, comes with dual front-facing speakers, Dolby Atmos surround sound and AKM4962 audio chip for an enhanced audio experience.

On the connectivity front, the Axon 7 mini has 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GLONASS and USB Type-C port. It packs in a 2,705 mAh battery under the hood that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. It promises to charge from 0-50% in 30 minutes.

The ZTE Axon 7 mini is available in Platinum Grey and Ion Gold color variants. It has been priced at €299 (US $335 / INR Rs 22,361 approximately) and will start rolling out in USA, Germany, Russia, Spain, Japan, Poland, India, Australia and Saudi Arabia soon.
