YuFit band launched by YU in India for Rs 999

YuFit has been launched at the Yuphoria event today in Delhi. It is the first fitness band by YU Televentures.

YuFit is described as a lifestyle companion and not just a health or fitness band by Rahul Sharma, CEO and Founder of YU. Unlike the Mi Band, YuFit has a small OLED display on it that shows time, number of steps, calories consumed and other datas. The device is powered by healthifyme, which is a Bangalore-based company.

The YuFit band shows number of calories burnt, distance walked, gets you notifications for incoming messages and calls, tracks your sleep. It also has the ‘find my phone’ feature. The band is accompanied by the YuFit app on your smartphone. The app lets one enter the food they are eating and calculate the number of calories you would consume every day. You can check calories of a particular food item by clicking a picture of it and uploading on the app.

The YuFit app will help track fitness, group coaching, challenges, social fitness network along with ‘My Plan’ feature. You will also get integrated 24 x 7 guidance from fitness experts. There was no information on the battery life of the band.

The YuFit band has been priced at Rs 999 in India and will be available from June from the official website of YU. First 1,000 customers will get a free personal trainer.
