YU YUPHORIA with Cyanogen 12 OS was launched back in May in India for Rs 6,999 exclusively on Amazon. The smartphone now gets a price cut of Rs 500 and will also run on stock Android out of the box.
There were reports of a break up between Cyanogen and YU recently after the YUREKA PLUS was also seen to be running on stock Android out of the box. The budget smartphone YUNIQUE that was launched last month on Snapdeal also runs stock Android out of the box but comes with an option of flashing Cyanogen OS as well. Anyway, lets check out the specifications.
YU YUPHORIA Specifications
YUPHORIA is designed by YU and made in India. It has a saturn ring metal design. The YU Yuphoria features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) TFT IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It comes with full lamination technology and has a pixel density of 294 ppi. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 quad-core 64 bit processor along with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. It runs on stock Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The YUPHORIA has 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, it comes with a 5-megapixel front facing camera with wide-angle lens which you can use for clicking selfies and attending video calls. It is 8.25 mm thick and weighs 143 grams. Wolfson Audio is used in the device.
The YUPHORIA comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, standard WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. It is a dual SIM smartphone and has a 2,230 mAh battery under the hood which is also equipped with Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0. It charges from 0-65% in about 45 minutes.
The YU YUPHORIA Buffed Steel variant with stock Android 5.0 Lollipop on board is now available on Amazon India for Rs 6,499.
