YU YUNICORN was to be unveiled at an event in Delhi tomorrow but the company has postponed the event to March 31 due to “Vote counting day” in some parts of India. Earlier this month, YU had officially released a teaser of launching a redefining flagship smartphone this month.
The media invite reads “Fantasy will soon become reality, join us in the unveiling of the phone that will redefine flagships.” Rahul Sharma, Founder and CEO of YU, will unveil the YUNICORN on May 31 at an event in Delhi, which promises to redefine flagships. We really hope it turns out to be far better than the YUTOPIA, which did not do very well in comparison to other flagship devices in the Indian smartphone market.
The specifications of this upcoming flagship smartphone isn’t out yet but we do expect them to be revealed in the coming days. However, according to us, most of the specifications of the handset will remain the same as YUTOPIA, but YUNICORN will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset. Also, as YU has broken up with Cyanogen Inc, it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (stock). Lets take a look at the complete specifications (presumed by The Techolic) of the device.

It will come with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It will have a full metal body with a fingerprint sensor at the back.
It will rock a 21 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, there will be a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with for selfies and video calling. It will support Dual SIM, come with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.
On the connectivity front, it will have 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It will pack in a 3,000 mAh (or more) battery under the hood with fast charging capability.
