YouTube Music Key subscription service launched for iOS, Android and web

YouTube introduces YouTube Music Key, the company’s new subscription service for web, iOS and Android, which will let you watch and listen to music without ads, in the background or offline viewing.

Now YouTube will let its users watch favourite music videos, recommended music playlists on what you like and playlists of trending music across YouTube for free. You can now find an artist’s discography in high quality audio that will also be using less bandwidth. You can play full albums with both their official music videos and high quality songs that the music partners have added on YouTube. iOS and Android apps will get this feature via an update soon.

The company is introducing YouTube Music Key Beta, which is a monthly subscription service which will let you watch and listen to ad-free music, in the background or offline viewing. The subscription service is starting with a promotional price of US $7.99/month (discounted from US $9.99/month). This will also give the user subscription to Google Play Music, which has over 30+ million songs, expert-curated playlists and will also include the ability to watch many YouTube official music videos right from the app in the coming days.

The YouTube Music Key Beta is going to launch as invite-only beta service next week and is also likely headed to US only for now. If you’re lucky enough to manage an invite in your app or email, you can try it out free for the first six months.
