Xperia Z3, latest flagship from Sony unveiled at IFA 2014

As we have seen for the last few weeks, Sony Xperia Z3 got certified in China and it was no surprise that it would launch at IFA. So, today at the Sony IFA event, the Xperia Z3 was introduced.



Sony’s Xperia Z3 is the latest addition to its great range of flagship devices. It features a 5.2-inch Full HD display which Sony claims to be the “world’s brightest display of leading premium smartphones.” Xperia Z3 is powered by a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor which comes with 3 GB of RAM.

On the camera front, it has its same old trusted 20.7 megapixel rear camera with a new 25 mm wide-angle lens and an extra-high ISO light sensitivity. It comes with a 2.2 megapixel camera on the front for selfies which are also capable of 1080p video recording.

The phone is just 7.3 mm in thickness and weighs only 152 grams. It hasĀ IP65/68 rating as its predecessor which makes it dust and water-resistant. Xperia Z3 comes with a new audio technology called DSEE HX audio technology. It has 3,100 mAh battery with STAMINA mode.

It has standard WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/GLONASS, MHL 3.0, NFC as well as comes with 4G LTE and 3G/HSPA+ connectivity.
