Xiaomi starts selling accessories in India from official website

Xiaomi entered India back in July last year with an exclusive partnership with Flipkart where they started selling most of their products via flash sales. We have spotted the Chinese manufacturer is now selling accessories from its official website in India.

Xiaomi has always stated that the company would sell some devices from their official website at some point of time. However, Flipkart would also continue to be their exclusive online partners. Xiaomi has just started selling accessories directly from their official website in India.

The Xiaomi accessories which can directly be ordered from their website at the time of writing, includes the Mi Power Bank (5,200 mAh & 10,400 mAh), Mi In-Ear headphone, Mi In-Ear headphone (basic), Redmi Note Flip Case and Redmi Soft Gel Protective case. The company will certainly add more number of accessories in the upcoming days. These accessories in India are being sold by Rocket Kommerce LLP, which is an authorized Indian distributor of Mi products.

How to buy directly from in India?

In order to buy an accessory, you need to click on ‘Buy now’ or ‘Add to Cart’ and ‘Checkout’. Then, you need to sign in to your Mi Account if you’re not signed in. If you don’t have a Mi Account, you’ll need to make a new one. After that, enter your address (assuming first time) and select payment method. Currently, Cash on Delivery is available and ‘PayU’ has been listed as coming soon. It also remains to be seen, if they deliver in all states of India. However, Xiaomi would do a good job in covering most of the metro cities along with Tier I and Tier II cities at the moment.

Xiaomi has taken a great initiative to become independent, but will certainly need time to ramp up their services to a great extent, before thinking of going solo. The company also plans to sell accessories in Europe from their official website soon.

Xiaomi announced a limited edition Mi Note with natural bamboo back priced at USD 370 which will go on sale on March 24 in China.
