Xiaomi Redmi Pro has been officially announced at an event in China today. It is the latest flagship phone in the Redmi series. Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of the same below.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD OLED 2.5D curved display, that has up to 100% NTSC color gamut and 60000:1 contrast ratio. The phablet comes with sunlight display technology which improves screen readability using hardware-level technology to adjust contrast for each pixel in real-time. It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 / Helio X25 64-bit processor along with Mali-T880MP4 GPU. It packs in 3 GB of RAM along with 32 / 64 GB of internal storage or 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card. The device runs on MIUI 8 out of the box, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

The Redmi Pro rocks a dual rear camera setup – a 13 megapixel camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX258 sensor and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) along with a 5 megapixel secondary camera with Samsung sensor for getting depth of field and real-time background blur. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Hybrid dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD card) with dual standby mode. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button and comes with Trustonic TEE chip-level security. It has a brushed metal body, that is just 8.15 mm thick and weighs just 174 grams. It also has an Infrared sensor.

On the connectivity front, the Redmi Pro comes with 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C. The phablet packs in a 4,050 mAh battery under the hood.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro is available in Gray, Silver and Gold color variants. It has been priced at CNY 1499 (US $225 / INR Rs 15,090 approximately) for the standard 2.1GHz Helio X20 chipset, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM variant, CNY 1699 (US $255 / INR Rs 17,108 approximately) for the high-end 2.3GHz Helio X25 chipset, 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant and the premium model with 2.5GHz Helio X25 SoC, 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM costs CNY 1999 (US $300 / INR Rs 20,123 approximately). It can be ordered in China starting from August 6, 2016.
