Second flash sale will take place on January 6 at 2pm on Flipkart again but you can buy it before that if you want to use an Airtel connection.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G will go on sale at an Airtel Store near you from January 3, 2015. Although you would still need to register for the sale which has started from today. There is a strange criteria that one has to activate a 3G data pack of minimum 500 MB in order to purchase the Redmi Note 4G from Airtel. The company clarifies that as the device is very limited, they would like the internet hungry people to get the first opportunity to buy the device. Prepaid customers will have to convert to Postpaid if they want to purchase it now or wait for a while, when the device is also available for Prepaid customers.
Airtel is offering special 4G/3G data packs for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G customers. If you purchase 1 GB 3G/4G pack at Rs 250, you get another 1 GB of 4G data free which will be valid for 6 months. There are plans of 2 GB, 3 GB, 4 GB & 5 GB of 3G/4G data packs which will give you double the data and be valid for 6 months. These are good data plans if you’re looking to buy the device and use it on Airtel 4G network.
If you have booked the phablet and fail to pick it up on the appointed day from Airtel store, it will be kept for one more day. So, if you do not go to the store to pick it up the next day, you will need to ‘book’ it again if you want to purchase it. Also, if you see any ‘Sold-Out’ message on Airtel’s website, it means all the units have been booked and the next batch will arrive on January 8. So visit Airtel on the following Thursday to book it. If you are not interested to buy Redmi Note 4G through Airtel, then register now to participate in the second flash sale which will take place at 2pm on January 6 on Flipkart. We expect around 40,000-50,000 units to be up for grabs.
