Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will supposedly launch on August 13 when the company will showcase the latest iteration of MIUI. Couple of days before the announcement, it has leaked along with the box and we have a glimpse of the latest budget phablet from Xiaomi.
Leaked images of the device was already out for sometime and we got to know about the overall design, however, this leaked image shows the front of the handset on top of the retail box. It has also revealed that the phablet will be powered by the latest 2.0 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor along with 2 GB of RAM from the ‘About phone’ section.
However, there are rumours of two different variants of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and the other variant will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 processor. Lets have a look at the rumoured specifications.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 rumoured specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will feature a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by a 2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It will come with 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD slot. The device will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box with MIUI 7 on top of it.
On the camera front, it will rock a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It will be 8.05 mm thick and weigh 158.62 grams.
On the connectivity front, it will come with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS. The phablet will reportedly pack in a 3,020 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging capabilities. It is expected to come in black, white, red, orange, yellow and green colour variants.
