Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro has been officially announced in China today. The ‘Pro’ variant comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and packs in a fingerprint sensor as well. Earlier this year, Xiaomi Redmi 3 was introduced. Lets go through the rest of the specifications now.
Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro Specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (Quad 1.5 GHz + Quad 1.2 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It packs in 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop OS. It comes with a full metal magnesium alloy unibody design. The back side has a diamond pattern made out of 4166 stars and it becomes visible when the light hits at an angle.
The Redmi 3 Pro rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. Both the cameras can shoot 1080p Full HD videos. It supports Hybrid dual SIM (micro + nano/microSD) feature, where the second SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot and comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack. It is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 144 grams. It packs in a fingerprint sensor at the back as well.
On the connectivity front, the Redmi 3 Pro comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS and USB OTG. The smartphone packs in a massive 4,100 mAh battery under the hood that supports fast charging.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is available in Gold, Silver and Grey color variants and has been priced at CNY 899 (US $138 / INR Rs 9,187 approximately). It goes on sale in China starting from April 6, 2016. The company has not released any details about the global roll out yet.
