Xiaomi Redmi 2A variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM launched in China for USD 86

Xiaomi launches a new variant of Redmi 2A in China. The company officially launched the smartphone back in March this year. Lets check out the specifications of the new variant.


Xiaomi Redmi 2A (new) Specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi 2A features a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display that is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Leadcore LCI L1860C processor along with Mali T628 dual-core GPU. The smartphone has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. It runs on MIUI v6 on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

On the camera front, the Redmi 2A has a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor with f/2.2 aperture which can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. It also has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling which can also shoot HD videos (720p). It supports dual SIM, weighs 132 grams and is 9.4 mm thick.

The Xiaomi Redmi 2A comes with 4G LTE (TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE) on both SIM cards, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG as connectivity options. The smartphone has a 2,200 mAh battery under the hood.

The Xiaomi Redmi 2A (new) is available in Dark Gray, Bright Yellow, Light Green, Pink and White colour variants and has been priced at CNY 549 (US $86/ INR Rs 5,700 approximately). There is no information on global roll out yet.
