First of all, we have the recently announced Xiaomi Mi 5 (3GB RAM + 32GB ROM) on pre-sale for US $439.99. It will start shipping from April 15, around a month to go. Next up, there is the Xiaomi Mi 4 overseas edition for just $165.99. In third position, we get the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 for $175.89. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 takes the fourth position for $147.89. If we look at the last three smartphones in this brand sale, we get the Redmi Note 3 Pro, Redmi Note 2 and Xiaomi Mi 4c for $246.02, $158.79 and $258.89, respectively.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 features a 5.15-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LCD display with 2.5D curved protection. It has a brightness of 600 nits and comes with a NTSC color gamut of 95%. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs in 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM along with 32 / 64 GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0) or comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0). The device runs on MIUI 7 based on Android Marshmallow OS. One version comes with a 3D glass body with strong glass on the back side and another has ceramic.

The Mi 5 rock a 16 megapixel rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), 4-axis OIS. It can shoot 4K videos, comes with DTI pixel isolation technology and Spectra image processing. It comes with a 4 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It support Dual SIM (nano), comes with a fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. It is 7.25 mm thick, weighs 129 grams for the glass variant and 139 grams for the ceramic variant.

On the connectivity front, the Mi 5 comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE support (FDD-LTE: 1800/2100/2600 MHz), 3G HSPA+ (WCDMA: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz), 2G (GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and USB OTG. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh built-in non-removable battery under the hood that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. A 5 minute quick charge will offer up to 2.5 hours of talk time.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (Quad 1.5 GHz + Quad 1.2 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It packs in 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop OS. It comes with a full metal magnesium alloy unibody design. The back side has a diamond pattern made out of 4166 stars and it becomes visible when the light hits at an angle.

The Redmi 3 rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. Both the cameras can shoot 1080p Full HD videos. It supports Hybrid dual SIM (micro + nano) feature where the second SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 144 grams.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c features a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) fully laminated OGS Sharp/AUO/LG IPS display. It packs in a pixel density of 441 ppi. The display comes with 178-degree wide-viewing angle and NTSC 95% ultra-high colour gamut. The phone also comes with sunlight display technology which improves screen readability using hardware-level technology to adjust contrast for each pixel in real-time.

The Mi 4c comes with a unibody design made with polycarbonate which is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 132 grams. At the back, it has a soft-touch matte finish with anti-grease coating for better grip. The smartphone is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (ARM A53 – 1.44 GHz x 4 + ARM A57 – 1.8 GHz x 2)  64-bit processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage or 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal storage but does not have any option for expandable memory via microSD card. It runs MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box and will get MIUI 7 update soon.

On the camera front, the Mi 4c has a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual two-tone LED flash, Sony IMX258 or Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor. It has f/2.0 aperture and five-element lens. It also has the capability to record 1080p videos and 120 fps slo-mo video. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It comes with Dual SIM (micro) along with Dual Standby which supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE on both the SIM.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c has 4G LTE (FDD LTE : 1800/2100/2600 MHz), 3G (WCDMA : 850/900/1900/2100 MHz), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.5 & 5 GHz + MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB OTG and USB Type-C port as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,080 mAh non-removable battery under the hood and it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.

It supports Hybrid dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD card) with dual standby mode. It has a fingerprint sensor below the primary camera that unlocks in 0.3 seconds and comes with Trustonic TEE chip-level security. It is just 8.65 mm thick (at the thickest point) and weighs just 164 grams, in spite of a larger battery. It also has an Infrared sensor.
