Xiaomi offering micro SIM card tray to existing Mi 3 owners from Flipkart, might make an Indian comeback

Xiaomi Mi 3 was discontinued for an indefinite time after the launch of Redmi 1s but there is good news for existing Mi 3 owners. Xiaomi is now offering complimentary micro-SIM card tray for free.

Xiaomi Mi 3 comes with normal SIM card slots which is a bit odd considering its a flagship device or was until Mi 4 was launched in China. Though, Xiaomi has stopped sales of Mi 3 in India, it is offering micro SIM card slots for free to existing Mi 3 buyers from Flipkart.

If you are an existing Mi 3 buyer from Flipkart, head over to Mi’s website and fill up the form. You would need to provide your Name, Flipkart Order Number, Postal address, Pin Code, Mi 3 IMEI number, Phone number and email ID.

After submission, Mi India and Flipkart team will take up to 1 working day for verification followed by home delivery within 3 days. This offer is completely free of cost and is only valid for Mi 3 purchased via Flipkart.

We would assume that if the Xiaomi Mi 3 makes a comeback again which is likely to happen after this gesture, it will come with micro-SIM card tray instead of the normal SIM card tray.

As usual, 60,000 units of Redmi 1s went on sale today and were sold out in 5.2 seconds. We expect another 60,000 units of Redmi 1s to be up for sale again on September 30. The registration for the next sale will start at 6 pm today. To register go here, now.
