Xiaomi Mi Max has been officially launched at an event in China today, as expected. It is the latest phablet from the company that comes with a massive 6.44-inch display. Lets check out the rest of the specifications now.

Xiaomi Mi Max Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi Max features a 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D curved display. The phablet comes with sunlight display technology which improves screen readability using hardware-level technology to adjust contrast for each pixel in real-time. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 / octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It packs in 3 GB of RAM along with 32 / 64 GB of internal storage or 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card. The device runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

The Mi Max rocks a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot 1080p Full HD videos and 120fps slow-motion videos. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The front shooter can also capture Full HD 1080p videos. It supports Hybrid dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD card) with dual standby mode. It has a fingerprint sensor below the primary camera that unlocks in 0.3 seconds and comes with Trustonic TEE chip-level security. It has a full metal unibody design that is just 7.5 mm thick and weighs just 203 grams. It also has an Infrared sensor.

On the connectivity front, the Mi Max comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2 LE with A2DP, GPS, GLONASS and USB OTG. The phablet packs in a whopping 4,850 mAh non-removable battery under the hood.

The Xiaomi Mi Max is available in Light Grey, Silver and Gold color variants. It comes in three different variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM + Snapdragon 650 chipset has been priced at CNY 1499 (US $230 / INR Rs 15,336 approximately), 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM + Snapdragon 652 chipset costs CNY 1699 (US $261 / INR Rs 17,380 approximately) and finally the Pro variant with 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM + Snapdragon 652 chipset has been priced at CNY 1999 (US $307 / INR Rs 20,449 approximately). It can be ordered in China starting from today and will go on sale from May 17, 2016. As usual, there is no information on global launch yet.
