Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus hits TENAA, specs and images revealed

The time has come for the next flagship from Xiaomi. It will be the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus. However, we have got the confirmed specifications as well as images of the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus from TENAA, a Chinese regulatory agency.


Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus Specifications


The Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus phablet features a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) 2K display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory. It will run on MIUI 6 powered by Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box.

The Mi 5 Plus is expected to rock a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash along with a 4 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The overall design will be quite similar to the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro – the latest flagships from Xiaomi. It will obviously be 4G LTE capable and have dual SIM. It will also pack in a 3,500 mAh battery under the hood with quick charging capability.


There is no accurate information on the launch date but it is expected to hit the Chinese market by end of August or early September. We will bring you more information on the Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus in the coming days.
