Xiaomi Mi 4S was officially announced at an event in China on February 24 along with the flagship Xiaomi Mi 5. It is the latest smartphone in the Mi 4 series. Lets check out the specifications of the device.
Xiaomi Mi 4S Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi 4S features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS fully laminated display with a pixel density of 441 ppi and a NTSC color gamut of 95%. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It packs in 3 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on MIUI 7 based on Android Marshmallow OS. The body is made up of a metal frame and comes with a glass back.
The Mi 4S rock a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, 5P lenses, f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). It can shoot Full HD 1080p and 120 fps slow motion videos. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It support Hybrid Dual SIM (nano) where the second SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. It is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 133 grams.
On the connectivity front, the Mi 4S comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C and USB OTG. The smartphone packs in a 3,260 mAh built-in non-removable battery under the hood that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. A 5 minute quick charge will offer up to 2.5 hours of talk time.
The Xiaomi Mi 4S is available in Purple, Black, Gold and limited edition Pink color variants and has been priced at CNY 1699 (US $259 / INR Rs 17,687 approximately). The smartphone goes on sale in China starting from March 1, 2016.
