Xiaomi is all set to host the first “Global Mi phone event” in India on April 23 in New Delhi at Siri Fort. The event tagline is “i IS COMING” and we think it’s the Xiaomi Mi 4i. Recently, Xiaomi has set a Guinness World Record while celebrating their fifth anniversary via Mi Fan Fest.
Xiaomi has told the media time and again that India is their second most important market after China. However, the company is yet to launch any devices in India in sync with the Chinese launch. Looks like things are about the change with the latest device from Xiaomi. Mr. Lei Jun, CEO & Founder of Xiaomi, President & Co-founder Mr. Bin Lin and Vice President of Xiaomi Global Mr. Hugo Barra will be present at the event.
This will be the first ever launch event of a new device outside China. Thus, India might finally see a product being sold at the same time as China, considering the event is taking place in India. With expanding partners in India
, it makes sense for Xiaomi to launch new devices in India in sync with China. However, a global event doesn’t mean Xiaomi will be selling the new product in Europe or USA. It will only be available where the company sells their devices currently.Let’s talk about the Xiaomi Mi 4i which is the main topic of discussion. It will be a mid range device which will be sit between the Mi 4
and Redmi Note 4G
in India. According to a Gfxbench
leak, lets check out the specs of the device.
