Xiaomi Mi 4c can now be pre-ordered globally, price starts at USD 239.69

Xiaomi Mi 4c flagship smartphone was announced in China on September 22, as expected. It went on sale in China yesterday but now it can be pre-ordered globally via third-party vendor, courtesy of Gearbest.


The unlocked Xiaomi Mi 4c with 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM is priced at US $239.69 that comes in White and Black color variant. The 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM Mi 4c has been priced at US $289.69 and it also comes in Black and White color variant. These devices can now be pre-ordered worldwide from Gearbest and they will start shipping them after October 30, around one month from now.

The original price of Mi 4c in China is $204 and $235. As, the devices will be shipped by a third-party e-commerce vendor, it costs around $35 and $55 more but it is worth it, since Xiaomi will officially not sell these devices globally, at least in the near future.

The e-commerce portal from China delivers in most countries with free shipping. However, you could also expedite the shipping by paying nominal charges and get it within 3-7 business days. Lets have a look at the specifications and features of these devices.


Xiaomi Mi 4c Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 4c features a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) fully laminated OGS Sharp/AUO/LG IPS display. It packs in a pixel density of 441 ppi. The display comes with 178-degree wide-viewing angle and NTSC 95% ultra-high colour gamut. The phone also comes with sunlight display technology which improves screen readability using hardware-level technology to adjust contrast for each pixel in real-time.

The Mi 4c comes with a unibody design made with polycarbonate which is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 132 grams. At the back, it has a soft-touch matte finish with anti-grease coating for better grip. The smartphone is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (ARM A53 – 1.44 GHz x 4 + ARM A57 – 1.8 GHz x 2)  64-bit processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage or 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal storage but does not have any option for expandable memory via microSD card. It runs MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box and will get MIUI 7 update soon.

On the camera front, the Mi 4c has a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual two-tone LED flash, Sony IMX258 or Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor. It has f/2.0 aperture and five-element lens. It also has the capability to record 1080p videos and 120 fps slo-mo video. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It comes with Dual SIM (micro) along with Dual Standby which supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE on both the SIM.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c has 4G LTE (FDD LTE : 1800/2100/2600 MHz), 3G (WCDMA : 850/900/1900/2100 MHz), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.5 & 5 GHz + MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB OTG and USB Type-C port as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,080 mAh non-removable battery under the hood and it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.
