Xiaomi Mi 4 64GB now priced at Rs 17999 in India after permanent price drop

Xiaomi has finally decided to shave off Rs 2,000 and permanently drop the price of Mi 4 64GB to Rs 17,999. This comes after the company announced it going on a special one day discount at the same price due to #MiAnniversary.


Xiaomi decided to drop the price due to popular demand. However, they should have done it at the same time when the dropped the Mi 4 16GB price to Rs 14,999. Still, better late than never. This is the second price cut after it was dropped to Rs 19,999 sometime back.

Xiaomi launched the Mi 4i 32GB variant for Rs 14,999, which will go on its pilot flash sale on July 28 on Registrations are already underway. The company is also offering free Rs 500 Mi coupon with every purchase of Mi 4 16GB variant till July 24. The coupon can be used to buy Mi accessories. They are also giving a free phone case with Redmi 2 or Mi 4 purchase from their official website for a limited period to celebrate first Mi India anniversary. Xiaomi Mi 4 64GB Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 4 64GB has a stainless steel frame wrapped around the body with chamfered edges. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display similar to the Mi 3 with very high colour gamut (84% of NTSC range). The smartphone is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB GB internal storage with no option for expandable memory via microSD card. It will run on MIUI 6 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Hopefully, MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop comes soon.

On the camera front, the Mi 4 has a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It has f/1.8 sensor size which is a Sony IMX214 six-element lens. It also has the capability to record 4K videos. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 sensor size and 80-degree wide-angle lens (Sony IMX219), which will result in better selfies and video calling.

The Mi 4 has 4G LTE (missing in Indian version), 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.5 & 5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth, GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,080 mAh battery under the hood.
