A live image of the upcoming phablet, Xiaomi Max has surfaced again ahead of the official announcement on May 10 at an event in Beijing. The latest leaked image shows the complete device for the first time. It sports a full metal frame around the body and in terms of design, it looks very similar to the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro series. We find three capacitive touch buttons below the display. Lets check out the rumoured specifications once again.
Xiaomi Max Rumoured Specifications
The Xiaomi Max will feature a huge 6.4-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display. It will be powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (Quad 1.4 GHz ARM A53 + 2 x 1.8 GHz ARM A57) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It will come with 2 / 3 GB RAM along with 16 / 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It will run MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The Max will rock a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and f/2.0 aperture. It will come with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It will support Dual SIM (might be hybrid), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a fingerprint sensor at the back.
On the connectivity front, the Max will come with 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GLONASS and USB OTG. There is no information about the battery capacity of the phablet yet, but it could be a massive 5,000 mAh battery under the hood.
The Xiaomi Max phablet will be announced at the China National Convention Center, Beijing on May 10. We will know all the remaining information about the device in a week now. Also, Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is expected to be announced at this event as well.
