Xiaomi Guinness World Record set with 2.11 million phones sold in 24 hours

Xiaomi recently celebrated its fifth anniversary on April 6. The Chinese giant celebrated it in style by setting Xiaomi Guinness World Record by selling 2.11 million phones on Mi Fan Fest in 24 hours.


The Mi Fan Fest has helped set up Xiaomi Guinness World Record for the Chinese giant within just five years of their inception. Xiaomi started as a software maker with the MIUI custom ROM based on Android. The company now sells smartphones along with a lot of other devices as well.

Lets have a breakdown of the products sold to set up the Xiaomi Guinness World Record.

The Mi Fan Fest 2015 has sold a whopping 2.11 million devices to create a Guinness World Record of “Most mobile phones sold on a single online platform within 24 hours.” This has generated a revenue of ¥2.08 Billion for Xiaomi.

Xiaomi also opened up its online distribution in India. The company sold their products exclusively via Flipkart. However, Amazon India and Snapdeal has been roped in to sell Xiaomi devices. The Mi Fan Fest also had some exciting offers in India.
