Xiaomi drops Mi 4 price in India, 16GB at Rs 17999 and 64GB at Rs 21999

Xiaomi has finally decided to slash the price of Mi 4 in India. Both the 16GB and 64GB variant has seen drop in price.

When Xiaomi launched the Mi 4 16GB in India, consumers and fans were astonished after looking at the price tag. Official social pages of Mi India and forums were full of slogans which echoed only one sentiment, “We want it at lower price.” Xiaomi did not listen to the customers then and also launched the 64GB variant for Rs 23,999.

Now, Xiaomi is permanently dropping the price of Mi 4. The 16GB variant will be available for Rs 17,999 and the 64GB will be available for Rs 21,999. It is now available without registration on Flipkart and The Mobile Store. Amazon and Snapdeal will sell it soon as well.

Due to the price drop, the Mi 4 64GB is priced at par with the OnePlus One 64GB and the 16GB variant is Rs 1,000 cheaper than the OnePlus One 16GB. We do not see any drop in prices of OnePlus One in India as the company has kept the same pricing, when it has increased it in Europe.

Also, Xiaomi Mi 4i is launching on April 23 in India. Lets recap the specifications of Xiaomi Mi 4.

Xiaomi Mi 4 Specifications

On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 sensor size and 80-degree wide-angle lens (Sony IMX219), which will result in better selfies and video calling.
