WhatsApp Calling on Windows Mobile now official

WhatsApp Calling on Windows Mobile started rolling out officially a week back. The VoIP service first came to Android users back in March and then it was followed by a launch on iOS for Apple’s iPhones. Last, but not the least, it has finally made its way to Microsoft’s Windows Mobile.

WhatsApp Calling on Windows Mobile

Windows Mobile, as usual, were left high and dry for a while by WhatsApp but finally the voice calling feature is here. They can now also send audio files that was not supported earlier. Lets take a look at the changelog.

  • WhatsApp Calling: Call your friends and family using WhatsApp for free, even if they’re in another country.
  • WhatsApp calls use your phone’s Internet connection rather than your cellular plan’s voice minutes. Data charges may apply.
  • You can now send audio files (available on Windows Phone 8.1+)
  • Notifications for calls and chats are shown separately on top left.

Update your app now to enjoy WhatsApp calling on Windows Mobile.
