Vivo Y55s with SD425, 3GB RAM, 4G VoLTE launched in India for Rs. 12490

Vivo India has launched a mid-ranger smartphone in its ‘Y series’ today named as the Y55s. It is a successor of the Vivo Y55L that was launched back in October last year. Lets have a look at the specifications, features and pricing of the Vivo Y55s now.

Vivo Y55s Specifications

The Vivo Y55s boasts of a 5.2-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS 2.5D curved-edge display, that is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor along with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded further up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The device runs on FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It comes with features like split screen for multitasking and a unique eye protection mode that will ensure comfortable screen brightness by reducing blue light that causes strain on the eyes.

The Y55s rocks a 13 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with screen flash for clicking selfies and making video calls. It comes with features like Palm Capture and Voice Capture. The smartphone has Dual SIM support, comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.

In the connectivity department, the Y55s includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 2730mAh battery under the hood.

The Vivo Y55s is available in Space Grey and Crown Gold color variants. It has been priced at Rs. 12,490 in India and will go on sale across the country starting from February 26, 2017.
