Vivo India has launched a new budget smartphone in the Y series named the Vivo Y21L in the country today. It is the latest smartphone from the company that supports 4G VoLTE (Voice over LTE). Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of the device below.
Vivo Y21L Specifications
The Vivo Y21L features a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display, that is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor along with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on FunTouch OS 2.0 out of the box that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It comes with features like Smart Wake which allows the user to simply swipe an ‘F’ on a dark screen to open the Facebook app, ‘e’ for opening browser and ‘m’ to play music.
The Y21L comes with a 5 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It comes with features like Palm Capture and Voice Capture. The smartphone has Dual SIM support, comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.
The Y21L includes 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,200 mAh battery under the hood.
The Vivo Y21L is available in Grey and White color variants. It has been priced at Rs 7,490 and is now available across the retail market in India. It is poorly priced according to the competition but Vivo India usually bets on the offline market in Tier II and Tier III cities, where a phone can be sold purely on the basis of looks. Earlier, the Vivo Y31L was launched in India for Rs 9,450.
