vivo X6S Plus with 5.7-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 652 SoC, 4GB RAM goes official

vivo has announced two new flagship devices in the ‘X’ series today in China. They are the vivo X6S Plus and X6S. Lets check out the specifications and features of the X6S Plus here.


vivo X6S Plus Specifications

The vivo X6S Plus features a 5.7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Funtouch OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It has a full metal body and comes with a 360-degree fingerprint sensor at the back that unlocks the phone in under 0.4 seconds.

The X6S Plus comes with a 16 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 6.85 mm thick, weighs 172 grams and supports Dual SIM. The flagship phablet comes with ES9028 DAC chip and YAMAHA YSS-205X digital surround signal processing chip for an enhanced audio experience.

The X6S Plus includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood along with double charging chip that supports fast charging.


The vivo X6S Plus is available in Rose Gold and Champagne Gold color variants and has been priced at CNY 2998 (US $465 / INR Rs 30,723 approximately) in China. It can be ordered from the official vivo online store and will start shipping from April 5, 2016. The company has also launched the vivo X6S, priced at CNY 2598 (US $403 / INR Rs 26,624 approximately). There is no information on the global roll out yet.

Earlier this month, vivo Xplay5 Elite and vivo Xplay5 were also announced in China. Also, Vivo Y31L budget smartphone was recently launched in India for Rs 9,450.
