Vivo X6 with 4GB RAM, fingerprint sensor, metal body unveiled in China

Vivo X6 has been officially launched at an event in China, as expected, along with the Vivo X6Plus. These are the latest flagship devices from the company. Lets go through the specifications of the device.


Vivo X6 Specifications

The Vivo X6 features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor along with 700 MHz Mali-T760 MP2 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Funtouch OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It has a metal body and comes with a 360-degree fingerprint sensor at the back that unlocks the phone in under 0.4 seconds.

The Vivo X6 comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Hybrid Dual SIM where the second nano SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It is 6.56 mm thick and weighs 135 grams. The smartphone comes with AKM4375 audio chip for an enhanced audio experience.

The X6 includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,400 mAh battery under the hood along with double charging chip that supports fast charging.


The Vivo X6 is available in Silver, Gold and Rose Gold color variants. The X6 China Unicom variant has been priced at CNY 2498 (US $390 / INR Rs 25,984 approximately) whereas the standard network variant has been priced at CNY 2598 (US $406 / INR Rs 27,022 approximately). It goes on sale in China from December 7.

Vivo X6Plus has also been announced in China today. It can be ordered starting from December 15 and will go on sale from December 21 in the country.
