Vivo X5Pro launched in China with eye-recognition technology for USD 435

Vivo X5Pro has been launched in China after a series of rumours. It is the latest smartphone from the company after the Vivo X5Max. The main feature of this device is its eye-recognition technology which helps identify users by scanning their eyeball vein pattern.


Vivo X5Pro Specifications

The Vivo X5Pro features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D glass technology. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 octa-core (ARM Cortex A53 – 4×1.5 GHz + 4×1.0 GHz) processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The phablet will run on Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

On the camera front, it has a 13 megapixel rear camera with a LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calling. It has Dual SIM support as well. It is 6.44 mm thick with a metal frame around the body. The company promises Hi-Fi audio experience with custom Cirrus Logic DAC AK4375 audio chip.


It has 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG as connectivity options. The smartphone has a 2,450 mAh battery under the hood.

The Vivo X5Pro has been priced at CNY 2,698 (US $435 / INR Rs 27,550 approximately) in China. There is no information about the availability in China as well as International markets.
