Vivo is about to launch the Vivo X5Max phablet at an event in China on December 10. Slim is in and the new Vivo X5Max will take it to an all new level.
The biggest attraction of Vivo X5Max phablet is its 4.75 mm super slim body, which is even thinner than the recently announced OPPO R5, currently the world’s slimmest smartphone and also the Gionee Elife S5.1 which was recently launched in India. The world’s slimmest phablet got certified on TEENA last month as well. The device measures 153.9 x 78 x 4.75 mm and weighs only 146 grams.
According to the listing by TEENA, the Vivo X5Max will feature a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LCD display. The phablet will be powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek processor along with 2 GB of RAM. The device will have 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The phablet will run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and hopefully get updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the near future.
On the camera front, it is expected to have the same 13-megapixel rear camera with a LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The Vivo X5Max phablet will have dual SIM capabilities and also 4G TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA enabled. It will likely come with a metal back finish.
The world’s slimmest phablet will launch in China first and gradually roll out globally. Rumour has it that it will be heading towards India soon. We will bring you more details when the launch event takes place in China on December 10. So, stay tuned.
