Vivo India has launched an upgraded variant of the V5 selfie-focused smartphone, named Vivo V5s in India at an event in New Delhi today. Take a look at its improved specifications and features below.
Vivo V5s Specifications
The Vivo V5s boasts of a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display, that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 (Quad 1.5 GHz A53 + Quad 1.0 GHz A53) 64-bit processor along with Mali-T860 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card. The device runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The V5s rocks a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, it has a 20 megapixel front-facing camera with Moonlight Glow Flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX376 sensor and 5P lens for clicking selfies and making video calls. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD card), comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and custom AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip for an enhanced audio experience. There is a fingerprint sensor onboard, that has been embedded into the home button and it unlocks the phone in just 0.2 seconds. It has a unibody metal design, that is 7.55mm thick and weighs 154 grams.
In the connectivity department, the V5s includes 4G VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, USB OTG and GPS + GLONASS. The phablet packs in a 3000mAh battery under the hood.
The Vivo V5s is available in Matte Black and Crown Gold color variants. It has been priced at Rs 18,990 in India and is now on pre-order. The Matte Black edition will go on sale from May 6 whereas the Crown Gold edition will go on sale from May 20, 2017.
