Vivo India has officially launched its latest ‘selfie-focused’ phablet in the country called the Vivo V5 at an event in Mumbai today. It boasts of a 20 megapixel selfie camera with ‘Moonlight Glow’ feature, that helps in giving a natural glow on the face. According to Vivo, it will allow the users to take perfect selfies in diverse lighting conditions. Check out its features, complete specifications and pricing below.
Vivo V5 Specifications
The Vivo V5 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, that is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 (Quad 1.5 GHz A53 + Quad 1.0 GHz A53) 64-bit processor along with Mali-T860 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128 GB by inserting a microSD card. The device runs on Funtouch OS 2.6 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The V5 comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, it has a whopping 20 megapixel front-facing camera with Moonlight Flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX376 sensor and 5P lens for clicking fantastic selfies and making video calls. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD card), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and custom AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip for an enhanced audio experience. There is a fingerprint sensor onboard, that has been embedded into the home button and it unlocks the phone in just 0.2 seconds. It is 7.55 mm thick and weighs 154 grams.
The V5 includes 4G VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, USB OTG and GPS + GLONASS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood.
The Vivo V5 is available in Space Gray and Crown Gold color variants. It has been priced at Rs 17,980 in India and will be on pre-order from November 16 to November 25. Finally, the phone will go on sale on November 26, 2016 across the country via retail stores.
Last month, the company had launched a budget smartphone called Vivo Y55L in India.
