Vernee Apollo with 5.5-inch QHD force touch display, 6GB RAM, Helio X20 officially priced at USD 399.99

Vernee Apollo, a flagship phablet from a brand new company was unveiled last week at the MediaTek event in China. It is one of the first devices to pack in 6GB of RAM. The pricing of the device was not announced at the launch but it has been released today. This device will cost US $399.99 (INR Rs 26,737 approximately) only, according to Vernee. Also, it is the cheapest smartphone with 6GB of RAM since Vivo Xplay5 Elite costs around $655 (CNY 4288). The device will go on sale sometime in April.


Vernee Apollo Specifications

The Vernee Apollo features a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS force touch display. It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 64-bit processor along with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It has 6 GB of RAM and comes with 128 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The Apollo rocks a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has a metal body which also sports a fingerprint sensor at the back.


The Apollo comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. There is no information about the battery capacity yet.

The Vernee Apollo will be available in both Silver and Gold color variants.
