UMI is all set to take the budget smartphone game to a different level all together with a new $99 phone. It is the UMI Fair that is going to be launched on September 25 in China. According to UMI, it will be the most affordable smartphone with a fingerprint sensor. Lets check out the specifications.
UMI Fair Specifications
The UMI Fair features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display that is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and has 8 GB of internal memory that can be expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android Lollipop out of the box.
The smartphone comes with a 8 megapixel rear primary camera with dual LED flash and Sony sensor. On the front, there is a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has a fingerprint sensor at the back and comes with a metal body.
The UMI Fair comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS and connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,250 mAh battery under the hood. The smartphone is priced at US $99 (INR Rs 6,500 approximately) and will be officially launched on September 25 in China. The company also announced UMI Hammer S with USB Type-C back in July this year.
