Uber expands it’s services to 4 new cities of India

Uber, the smartphone application that connects passengers with cars-for-hire, said it added four new Indian cities to its network on Tuesday.The services of Uber Technologies Inc., which was created just five years ago, are currently available in more than 150 cities.  It entered India in August of last year.

uberThe latest expansion include cities of Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Kolkata which means users can book rides through Uber in 10 cities in India. With this expansion Uber has the second largest network of cities after United States.Uber’s expansion comes at a good time when more Indians are getting smartphones and using them to buy products and services.

Uber also announced it has slashed its taxi fares by 25% in India’s technology capital of Bangalore to stay competitive in the Indian Market. For more information you can head over to the official Uber website.
