Uber, the smartphone application that connects passengers with cars-for-hire, said it added four new Indian cities to its network on Tuesday.The services of Uber Technologies Inc., which was created just five years ago, are currently available in more than 150 cities. It entered India in August of last year.
The latest expansion include cities of Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Kolkata which means users can book rides through Uber in 10 cities in India. With this expansion Uber has the second largest network of cities after United States.Uber’s expansion comes at a good time when more Indians are getting smartphones and using them to buy products and services.
