Twitter has got an active user base of 288M in Q4

Twitter, one of the popular social networking site has grown up to 288 million active user base. Off lately they also announced their last quarters earning report, claiming a revenue of $479 million which is a 97% high compared to last year’s $243 million. Last week Twitter has signed a deal with Google which would also help them earn more revenue and attract more users to their base.


The Q4 went pretty good for Twitter, just like Google, LG and Lenovo. Apple has also reported record number of iPhones sold in this quarter.Now coming back to Twitter’s stat, in Q4 2014, the active user base grew up from 284 million in Q3 to 288 million in Q4 and the 4 million users accounts for an increase of 1.4% in a quarter. The company could have grown more but they blamed an “unforeseen bug” during the iOS 8 integration caused it to lose 4 million users.

Twitter stated that users viewed their timelines 182 billion times, reporting a 23 percent increase year over year which is equal to a million more views than previous quarters. Twitter’s advertising revenue per thousand timeline views reached $2.37 in the fourth quarter of 2014, an increase of 60% year-over-year. Moreover Twitter’s mobile engagement reported 80% of total monthly user. Earlier this week, Samsung has also announced their Q4 reports, do have a look.
