Samsung is ready to launch its Tizen powered smartphones in India this December as reported by Economic Times. According to their last report by the Economic Times the Korean giant were planning to launch the new devices in November.
Tizen is Samsung’s initiative to reduce its dependence on Google and carve out a niche for itself in mobile software and services. It is touted that the Tizen powered smartphone will compete with Google’s recently launched Android One initiative.
According to the same report, Samsung’s new Tizen powered smartphone would boast a 4-inch screen with dual SIM capability. Though it will have less memory as compared to the present devices available in market and that would be just 512 MB. It should also have rear camera of 3.2-megapixel and will be ranged between Rs.5000 to Rs. 15000
Due to the entry of the Motorola and Xiaomi devices in Indian market, Samsung has already lost a huge percentage of market share in the present year. Samsung is hoping to overcome the lost market with this new move.
