TCL Play 2C has been officially launched in China. It is the latest budget smartphone by the company. Lets go through the specifications, features and pricing of the smartphone.
TCL Play 2C Specifications
The TCL Play 2C features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD On-Cell IPS display that is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor along with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.
The Play 2C houses a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5P lens and f/2.0 aperture and 77-degree wide-angle lens. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, it also comes with a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, 4P lens, 86-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture for your selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Dual SIM, has a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 8.58 mm thick and weighs 145 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back that will unlock the phone in just 0.5 seconds and also an Infrared sensor to control other smart home products.
The Play 2C includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,000 mAh battery under the hood.
The TCL Play 2C is available in White and Champagne Gold color variants and has been priced at CNY 699 (US $109 / INR Rs 7,271 approximately). It can be ordered in China starting from December 10 and will go on sale from December 18. The company has also announced another variant of the phone with a better processor and a bigger battery – the TCL Play 2. It has been priced at CNY 899 (US $140 / INR Rs 9,359 approximately) and will go on sale in China by end of December.
TCL has also entered the Indian smartphone market today by launching the TCL Pride T500L exclusively on Snapdeal.
