TCL has announced two new smartphones in China – one of them is a flagship model called the TCL 950 and the budget model is known as the TCL 580. Lets check out the features and specifications of the flagship TCL 950 here.
TCL 950 Specifications
The TCL 950 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display that has 100% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The 950 houses a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Sony IMX230 sensor and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). It can shoot 4K videos. On the front, it comes with a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 84-degree wide-angle lens for your selfies and video calling. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD card), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack, dual speakers and Dual NXP Smart PA amplifier chip. It is 6.99 mm thick and weighs 165 grams. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor that is located at the back and it has ARM TrustZone technology on board for secured authentication.
The 950 includes 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology from the house of Qualcomm.
The TCL 950 is available in Silver and Gold color variants. It has been priced at CNY 3299 (US $495 / INR Rs 32,964 approximately). TCL has also launched the budget TCL 580 priced at CNY 1399 (US $210 / INR Rs 13,972 approximately).There is no information on their global roll out yet.
