Spice Android One smartphone comes to Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Nepal

Spice announces that the company has launched their Spice Android One smartphone in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Nepal in association with Google. Indonesia was the latest country to get the flavour of Android One running Android 5.1 Lollipop and Spice has launched its phone under the brand name of Nexian Journey One.


Spice Android One Dream Uno which was exclusively launched on Flipkart in September last year is basically the ‘Nexian Journey One’ under a new brand name. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop which improves the battery life along with a few other improvements. Let us have a look at the specifications of the device.

Nexian Journey One (aka Spice Android One) Specifications

The Nexian Journey One features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display which is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. The smartphones come with 8 GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

On the camera front, the Nexian Journey One has a 5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The devices pack in a 1,700 mAh battery under the hood and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Android One smartphones in India have not been upgraded to Android Lollipop yet, but Android 5.1 Lollipop update is coming to India in the “next few weeks”. To recap, In India, the Micromax Canvas A1Spice Dream Uno and Karbonn Sparkle V Android One smartphones are available on Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal, respectively.
