The latest news on the Xperia Z4 is that the Japan only variant will launch globally as the ‘Xperia Z3+’. According to the white paper of Sony SCR30 Style Cover Window accessory for the Xperia Z4, the flagship device is also called Xperia Z3+. Thus, we can assume Sony will be launching Xperia Z3+ in global markets before releasing a completely new flagship later this year. Sony Xperia Z4 Specifications
The Sony Xperia Z4 features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos display with Live Colour LED powered by X-Reality engine that churns out 600 cd brightness. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor along with Adreno 430 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box.
The Sony Xperia Z4 comes with a 20.7 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/2.3″ Exmor RS image sensor along with BIONZ image processing engine. It can shoot 4K videos as well. There is a 5.1 megapixel front-facing camera with Exmor R sensor and 25 mm wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It can shoot 1080p Full HD videos and has digital image stabilization. The smartphone is 6.9 mm thick and weighs 144 grams. The Z4 is equipped with Sony’s new LDAC audio compression codec which promises wireless music playback and high-quality music experience.
The Sony Xperia Z4 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HPSA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, MHL 3.0 and GPS/GLONASS as connectivity options. It rocks a 2,930 mAh battery with STAMINA mode under the hood. It is also IPX5 / IPX8 certified which makes it dust and water-resistant and has 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio with RDS. The Xperia Z4 will be available in Black, Copper, Aqua Green and White colour variants.
